My son has a writing assignment due each week. It is coupled with his spelling packet.

This week is:

All of us have moments when we feel proud of something that we have done. Write a paragraph that describes a time when you felt proud. Tell what you did and why you were proud.

Any one want to answer that?

I wrote a reply and sent it to his teacher so he could see it.

But I'm curious to see if anyone else has something they're proud of!
Dorkness out!

I was proud when someone asked my parents who was going to take care of them when they were old and they kind of looked at each other awkwardly and then pointed at me and said, "Well...probably her." I think it's true (it being me rather than the other 3 kids) and I was proud they could see that in me.

Anyway, I'm just stopping by to wish you happy holidays to you and your family. Take care of each other!

hi! ooooohhhh, bike shopping!!! are tris in your future or just bike riding!?!?! so fun!

anyway, i actually don't know anything about bikes. my best advice is to go to a bike store where they can help you out. i was totally lost when i started and basically just knew my price range, the fact that i wanted clip pedals, and I was pretty sure i wanted a women's specific design (WSD). i just get hurt so easily that i thought being in the best possible position for me was important. however, whether or not you need a WSD is based on torso length vs. leg length as well as overall height. i am sure your local bike store can let you know what is best for you. here is the link to why WSD are good for some women:

i know nothing about type of bike material, or saddle, or the right accessories (although if you can afford it and want a computer that does mileage and stuff that would be fun). but i do know i love my new ride!!!!

yeah, good luck!
